Page analysis of a contents page
Magazines rely heavly on the look of the Front cover. The fonts, three colour layouts, main image and structure is important to make sure that the front cover is appealing and eye catching. To find the right Font for my headline, I used my name for my magazine 'HUS MEDIA' in diffrent fonts to see what it looked like and to decide which ones I like.
When i asked the class which on the prefered, 'Berlin Sans FB' and 'Elephant' came up as the two favorites. I will try both with my magazine layout and see which one Fits better with the layout.
I've started experimenting with colours I like and put them in to gradients to decide which one works the best. Here are my first experiments. I quite like the bottom purple one, it's fairly bright and has a range of shades that are easy to work with, to improve this I need to add another contrasting colour with it.
For my front cover, I have taken some pictures of my sister and her friend Deanne. I have taken them in different places so that i have a verity of pictures to choose from. Her are some of the best ones;
